Update Computer's Operating System (OS)

Overview

Updating your computer regularly will help avoid attacks by hackers and viruses. A virus on your computer can affect all other users on the network.

Follow these directions to comply with UC San Diego's Network Security Minimum Standards and protect your network, computer, email, and data.

Windows 7, Vista, and XP and MacOS versions 10.14 and earlier have reached end of life and must be updated to newer operating systems before connecting to UC San Diego networks.
