Check Disk Space And Quota Limits

Overview

Some ITS systems and services have limits on how many resources you may use.  Quotas are limits on individual file storage designed to ensure resources remain available to everyone. Every location where you can store files may have a separate size limit.

Steps to Take

Lab Computers

Students have access to a network file system on ETS-managed lab computers. This network drive is mapped to H: on our lab computers.

Any additional storage increases are via professor's requests. If you would like to see your quota limits for your specific account, use our Account Lookup tool.

ETS Instructional Servers

ETS supports some instructional servers like acsweb.ucsd.edu, ieng6.ucsd.edu

Any additional storage increases are via professor's requests. If you would like to see your quota limits for your specific account, use our Account Lookup tool.

Our instructional servers have a weekly allocation of processor time. Our computing unit quota is designed to not be reached with regular day-to-day use. This mechanism is designed to help stop runaway jobs. If you exceed your computing units, please submit a ticket.

If you still have questions or need additional assistance, please submit a ticket or call the ITS Service Desk at (858) 246-4357
