Setting up iOS Mail App for Microsoft Exchange

Find out how to set up the mail app (IOS native mail client) for Office 365 Exchange (Outlook) for iPhones/iPads.

Steps to Take


  1. Go to your Settings.

  2. Scroll down, go to "Apps" and then "Mail" within your Settings

  3. Select "Mail Accounts"

  4.  Press "Add Account"

  5. Pick "Microsoft Exchange" from list of services. 

  6. Type in your UC San Diego email address. For Description, type "UCSD Exchange." Then, click "Next."

  7.  There will be a pop up confirming if you'd like to log in. Press "Sign In."

  8. Sign in using your UCSD credentials.

  9. You will be prompted for your Two-Step login.
  10. To approve the Push, choose Approve on your Phone. 

  11. Open the mail client. Your UC San Diego Email will open. It may take a bit for the emails to sync to your app.
