What is Service Credit?

Service credit is retirement credit for time worked. Members earn service credit for each payroll period in which they work and a retirement contribution is made.

How Can I Check My Service Credit?

Check your service credit in UCPath.

  1. Login to UCPath
  2. On your dashboard, click on View Leave Balances.
    It will bring up your leave balances and your service credit balances.

Contact the UC Retirement Administration Service Center (RASC) at 1-800-888-8267

Please note that with RASC there seems to be about a one-month delay in recording service credits.

How are employment service credits and leave hours calculated?

UCPath calculates employment service credit and leave hours according to each employee’s payroll cycle.

To view accrued leave balances, please navigate to UCPath > Employee Actions > Leave Balances.

What is the UCRP service credit purchase calculation amount?

How do I transfer my sick and/or service credits if I was a previous California State University or State of California employee?

The State Agency Service Verification eForm is used to capture absence management changes, such as sick leave and service credit, for previous CSU or State of CA employment.

To access the eForm:

  1. Login to UCPath
  2. Navigate to Forms Library > Access Forms > Absence Management > State Agency Service Verification.
